Early today, November 2, trade on the worldwide market saw a sharp increase in oil prices after business data revealed an unexpected decline in US crude stockpiles. By 00:14 GMT, Brent oil prices were up 17 cents (or 0.1%) at $94.82 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were up 26 cents (or 0.3%) at $88, $63 per barrel. India’s pricing for gasoline and diesel remained the same today. The 40-paise per litre price reduction for gasoline and diesel has not yet taken effect. For over five months, fuel costs have been constant. Because the Center had reduced the excise tax on gasoline by Rs 8 per litre and on diesel by Rs 6 per litre in May, there was a significant variance in fuel prices throughout the nation at that time.
Diesel is offered for Rs 89.62 per litre in Delhi, while the cost of gasoline is Rs 96.72. In Mumbai, the price of gasoline is Rs 106.31 a litre and that of diesel is Rs 94.27.
